Responsible lending

Secure operates under responsible lending principles in Belgium. We aim to prevent over-indebtedness and misuse of collateralized assets.

Our commitments

• No “guaranteed approval”. Every file is reviewed by humans.
• Affordability checks using declared income/activity and existing obligations.
• Transparent APRs, fees, repayment schedules and consequences of default.
• Right to repay early without penalties on interest not accrued.
• Clear handling of pledged assets: secure custody, insurance, and transparent liquidation steps if needed.

When we decline

If affordability or risk thresholds are not met, or the collateral is not suitable/legal, we will decline the request and explain why when possible.
